Bipang or Jipang

Originally, Bipang was a snack from China. Chinese immigrants who came to Indonesia introduced Bipang to Indonesians. The word Bipang is an absorption from the Hokkien bí-phang (米芳; pinyin Mandarin = mǐ fāng) which means "fragrant or fragrant rice"

If you are curious about the taste of Bipang, you can imagine the taste of sweet popcorn. But replace corn with rice. The way of making Bipang is also similar to how to make popcorn. First we need to cook rice to become puffed rice.
